Hope the summer is going well for everyone.  We’ve been busy preparing the gallery for the upcoming fall season, however I wanted to break the silence with a new one that just came in from Victor Wang this morning.  It is called “Sunflowers on the Water” and is a bit of a departure for the Missouri based painter.  With this piece, you can see Victor breaking away from his standard orange pallet as well as his very close cropped compositions.  It is a welcome experimentation, and we invite you to come see it for yourself in the gallery.

The new one man summer exhibition entitled “Desire” by Malcolm T. Liepke opens tonight from 6-8 pm. The entire exhibition can be viewed on our website.

As if being one of the most intense contemporary realist painters around isn’t enough, Michael Klein has taken on another significantly ambitious endeavor.  The American Painting Video Magazine is a quarterly video project that sends Klein around the country interviewing some of the most impressive and accomplished realist painters of our time.

The Spring issue came out in April, and the Summer issue just became available. For $10 a download, each issue clocks in around 2 hours and is full of very in-depth interviews. The videos can be downloaded at the official site:

The new Malcolm T. Liepke invites just arrived earlier today.  These will be in the mail shortly to announce the show which opens a week from today.  The invite gives a little preview of what is to come with 3 full color images.  The work is slowly beginning to trickle in.  We are eagerly awaiting the rest of the show as there are about 9 empty frames ready to be filled with the new work, and more frames on the way.   Liepke’s show opens July 15th from 6pm-8pm.  A few of these works will be on display at Art Hamptons through the weekend starting tonight.

Arcadia Gallery returns tho the Annual event of the east end, ArtHamptons 2010. With new works from Malcolm Liepke, Jeremy Lipking, Michael Klein, Michael Chapman, Joseph Todorovitch and many more. This year, ArtHamptons will include 80 Galleries from around the world in a 50,000 square foot air conditioned tent.

Jeremy Lipking Catalogs Arrived today, All 4 thousand of them which need to be stuffed stamped, sealed and sent out! The Catalog is 16 pages, with 15 full color images. Jeremy’s Show opens June 10th from 6pm-8pm. In addition to the show there will be a live painting demonstration on Saturday June 12th from 2-4 pm, The demo is free and we are not taking reservations it will be standing room only so be sure to be here early!

Fresh from the framers are 6 great new drawings from Kerry Brooks.  She is new to the gallery, and we are debuting her cinematic, small scale, graphite drawings at the San Francisco Fine Art Fair May 21- 23.  More images below….
